Surrounded by Repetitive Echoes

I draw fleeting images.

I photograph fleeting moments.

Everything is temporary.

In this space the echo is circling around.

The insatiable curiosity about observing the audio-visual environment guides me to make art. I love coincidences and unexpected surprises. I want to find answers to philosophical questions and focus on the nature of the moment.

“Surrounded by Repetitive Echoes” exhibition consists of an audiovisual space-based video installation called "Leap Second" and a series of photographs. The exhibition is inspired by observing time and space.

Sanni Saari (born 1990 in Rauma, Finland) creates atmospheric and mystical worlds through photography, video and installation. She often uses experimental approaches and plays with boundaries of different technologies. In her recent projects she has dealt with themes like place attachment, determination of consciousness and early folk religions. Saari lives and works in Tampere and graduated as a visual artist from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2017.
